detoxification
What is detoxification?
Detoxification is the removal of toxic substances from the body. These toxins can be introduced by regular contact with air pollution, acid rain, fertilizers, contaminated water, chlorinated and flouridated water, food additives, and other environmental factors. While the body has natural functions for eliminating toxins through the liver, kidneys, and intestines, environmental toxins can overload these systems and reduce the body's ability to operate efficiently.
What does detoxification do for me?
Environmental toxins are implicated in a wide variety of physical complaints and disease. Detoxification can assist in the treatment and/or cure of:
- Allergies
- Asthma
- Immune deficiencies
- Fibromyalgia
- Fatigue
- Migraines
- Arthritis
- Heart disease
- Mental and memory impairments
- Cancer
How does detoxification work?
There are many therapeutic options for supporting the body's detoxification efforts, including diet, supplementation, electrical and electronic measures, chemical measures, foot baths, fasts, and lifestyle modification. Your doctor or therapist will assist you in selecting the right combination of approaches to lower toxicity.
