craniosacral therapy

What is craniosacral therapy?

Craniosacral therapy is a subtle adjustment of the cranial and spinal bones in order to facilitate the movement of cerebrospinal fluid and bring the central nervous system into harmony.

What does craniosacral therapy do for me?

Used by itself or in conjunction with chiropractic care, craniosacral therapy may be used to treat a number of medical complaints:

How does craniosacral therapy work?

For craniosacral therapy, the patient lies on the table while the doctor or therapist assesses the flow of fluid through the cranial, spinal, and sacral bones. Following this assessment, the therapist may subtly adjust the spine, pelvis and sacrum, lengthen the lumbar region, release the hyoid bone in the throat, and gently adjust the cranial bones. The combination of these movements corrects and promotes the unrestricted flow of cerebrospinal fluid.
