Diagnosis and treatment methods
Jordan Chiropractic uses a number of diagnostic and treatment methods to supplement chiropractic care for the patient’s health and general well-being.
- Chiropractic
- Primarily therapeutic. Adjusting misalignments in the spine to correct or relieve a wide variety of medical complaints related to the muscular, skeletal, and nervous system.
- Applied kinesiology
- Primarily diagnostic. The practice of muscle-strength testing for diagnosing medical complaints.
- Deep tissue massage
- Primarily therapeutic. Intense massage directed at a joint, muscle, or muscle group to access deeper layers of soft tissue to relieve tension and free movement. This form of tissue work helps ensure a gentle chiropractic adjustment.
- Shiatsu massage
- Diagnostic and therapeutic. Traditional use of the palm and fingers to apply pressure to particular sections on the surface of the body in order to correct imbalances of the body, and for maintaining and promoting health.
- Frequency-specific microcurrent therapy
- Therapeutic. The application of a mild electrical current to areas of tissue damage, neutralizing and eliminating radiating channels of dis-ease and enhancing the healing process already underway by the body.
- Trigger point therapy
- Diagnostic and therapeutic. Manual massage of hyperirritable nodules of muscle fiber in order to allow for blood flow and subsequent muscle release. Promotes muscular and structural balance.
- Cold laser therapy
- Therapeutic. Exposure to low level laser light to stimulate cellular benefits including regenerating tissue, reducing inflammation, relieving pain, boosting immunity, and increasing healing by 25 to 40%.
- Detoxification
- Therapeutic. Removal from the body of accumulated toxins and other poisons introduced by diet and environment. Promotes immunity and healthy function of the body’s organs.
- Craniosacral therapy
- Therapeutic. Gentle adjustment of the spine and cranial bones to ease restrictions on nerve passageways and movement of cerebrospinal fluid. Eases mental stress, headaches, neck and back pain, TMJ syndrome, and chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia.
